Residential burglary radar shows burglaries in the last week
Residential burglary concerns us all
For many people, young and old, a burglary in their own home comes as a huge shock. The violation of privacy, the loss of a sense of security and the serious psychological consequences that can occur after a break-in are often more distressing for those affected than the purely material damage. Police experience shows that you can protect yourself against burglary: more than a third of burglaries are unsuccessful, not least because of security devices, but you can also prevent burglaries by behaving correctly and being attentive neighbors.
The Wesel police want residents in the district of Wesel to feel safe at home. That's why they provide advice on burglary protection in a variety of ways.
The police cannot be everywhere to prevent crime. That is why we specifically rely on the help of citizens. Be vigilant in your neighborhood and report any suspicious perceptions.
Burglary card
For this reason, every Monday we compile an overview map with all attempted and completed burglaries in the Wesel district over the past week. We deliberately refrain from naming the locations to the exact street. Instead, the overview refers to the city districts.
With the burglary map, we would like to make you even more aware of the issue of burglary protection and ask you to inform us - also retrospectively - of any suspicious perceptions.
Every call counts, because: We can't do it without your tips!
Report anything suspicious
- Always use the emergency number 110 - it is manned around the clock for you.
For information of any other kind, you can
- on site, speak to your colleagues from the patrol service,
- inform your local district officer
- write us an poststelle.wesel [at] polizei.nrw.de (email )(will not be retrieved around the clock)
Together, police and citizens can put a stop to burglars!
