Victim protection

Here you will find information and contacts if you have been the victim of a crime or a traffic accident or if you are a relative.

Police victim protection includes the

Targeted information on the course of the investigation procedure, on relevant victims' rights in the various phases of the procedure and victim compensation,
determination of whether further support and assistance is necessary,
needs-based referral to victim assistance and support services and
victim aftercare in the case of particularly stressful events (e.g. sexual offenses, domestic violence, serious traffic accidents).

Therapeutic, psychological and legal support are generally not part of police victim protection.
